How did Linux started?

linux-startedAlthough roots of LINUX go quite early but it was the year 1990 when Linus Torvalds who was from Finland and studied in the University of Helsinki made a breakthrough. Andy Tanenbaum’s was creator of OS named Minix and linus came to know of it.

The vision of Linus was to upgrade the OS created by Andy. Although when he came into contact with him regarding it then Tanenbaum didn’t agree for this. This prompted Linus dto write his own kernel which he wanted to make open for everyone. He released it under General Public License. We know this kernel as LINUX today. So that’s how LINUX came into existence.
