How Fast Can The Animals Run?

Some years ago, the American scientist and traveler Roy Chapman Andrews came to India, as the head of the expedition team. One day he was driving a jeep near the border of India and Nepal. There, he saw a cheetah. He steered his jeep towards the cheetah. When the cheetah saw the jeep, he started running from there. Andrew decided to test its speed, so he accelerated the speed of his jeep to 80kms per hour. But still the jeep stayed behind the cheetah. Cheetah was in front of the jeep even at the speed of 100kms per hour. Finally the cheetah ran into the bushes and disappeared. We can conclude from this event that the speed of the cheetah was more than 100kms per hour. The tests have been conducted by a large number of researchers to find the speed of four legged animals. How fast can the animals run Actually, among all the animals of four legged, cheetah has the maximum speed i.e. 112kms per hour. The black buck or the black deer comes to the second place. The pronghorn and the Mongolian come to the third place. The pronghorn is also a type of deer. Its speed is 95 kms per hour. The lion comes to the fourth place. It can run at the speed of 88 kms per hour. The fox, rabbit and deer can run at the speed of 75kms per hour. The zebra and the horse can run at the speed of 64kms per hour. The hare and the buffalo can run at the speed of 55 kms per hour, whereas the wolf and the giraffe can run at the speed of 45 kms per hour. The elephant can run at the speed of 35 kms per hour. Sheep and kangaroo run at the speed of 25 kms per hour whereas pig and camel run at the speed of 15 kms per hour. All these animals can not run for long time at these speeds. Normally they can run a distance of some kilometers at these speeds.
