How To Get Rid Of Muffin Tops?
Getting rid of muffin tops is easy, right? Simply eat that part first!!!
Wait, we’re not talking about dessert. We’re trying to get rid of the extra rolls of fat that seem to build up around our mid-sections after we eat too many of those home-made muffins. Muffin tops are rounded areas of skin and flab that hang over the belt line. They are especially noticeable when we wear tighter tops and low-riding jeans.
One of the first steps we should take to get rid of muffin tops is to eat fewer muffins (and other desserts). Reducing calories and eating more fruits and vegetables will go a long way toward getting rid of loose fat and skin. In fact, it may be possible to trim away several pounds just by making the right changes in diet.
Exercise!
Unfortunately for most of us, a few minor changes in eating habits won’t be enough to get rid of muffin tops. We will have to employ a few simple exercise activities. It isn’t necessary to join a fitness gym or pay a lot of money for special programs. But getting rid of fat and loose skin around the mid-section will mean doing the right kinds of exercises.
If you sit on the floor, place your feet flat with knees bent you can start tightening that middle by slowing leaning back. You should feel your stomach muscles tightening slightly. Do this several times in each session, building up to 12 or more each day. If you can use a small weight to add some difficulty you should get even better results. (Never do sit-ups or this back-leaning motion with straight legs.)
Here’s another good home exercise for tightening the middle and cutting down those muffin tops. Lie on your back with your legs straight up. Try to lift with your abdominal muscles. Do this a few times in each session. Use these simple activities in combination with a change in your diet. Allow several weeks to see real results.
Your Food
Remember that muffin tops are made of the fat that stays around the mid-section and the hips. In most cases, this is the long term result of eating too many foods that are high in sugar or contain mostly processed carbohydrates. Stop eating so many pastries, processed breads etc. If you eliminate or reduce the amount of junk food you eat you will go a long way toward eliminating muffin tops. (We may not want to admit it but we all know what junk food is and what it isn’t.)
For the best results, combine these diet changes with the right kind of exercise. You need to involve your entire body. It is crucial to burn fat with the correct type of exercise – stretching and muscle building won’t get the job done. You’ll need to do some of the abdominal exercises (as mentioned earlier) along with lunges, squats, rowing etc. With the right combination of nutrition and exercise you can get rid of those muffin tops.
