Of course, it’s crucial to prevent or immediately treat your condition if it is caused by the H. pylori bacteria mentioned earlier. Work with your doctor to find out which medications might eliminate this internal pest. You may also have to adjust your diet or make other changes in your habits. Talk with a doctor about the effects of smoking.
Other things you may want to try, to prevent stomach ulcers or to lessen the painful effects of these ulcers is to eat plenty of vegetables and fresh fruit. Include items in your diet that contain a lot of flavonoids because these may limit the growth of the bacteria. Talk with your doctor about using acid-reducing medications and such retail products as Pepto Bismol. Herb therapy has also shown some promise in treating stomach ulcers.
