How To Get Rid Of Zits?
There are many ways to get rid of what we commonly call zits. Some of the methods involve face-cleaning products that you buy at the pharmacy or grocery store. Other programs combine increased personal hygiene with major changes in diet and exercise.
But we’re going to look at some of the basic ways you can prevent future zits and reduce the problem you now have. First and foremost, try not to put bacteria, oils and dirt on your face. How do you do that, you may well ask? Don’t touch your face unless you have to and then only do it when your hands are clean.
Zits, pimples and other skin maladies are often caused by clogged pores that allow dirt and bacteria to build up. Keep your hands clean and try to concentrate on keeping your hands away from your face. If you combine this with a regular washing of the face you should be able to reduce the number of zits you see when you look in the mirror.
Try using a liquid body wash or liquid soap rather than a bar of soap. Many commercial bar soaps contain ingredients that help hold the bar together. These can contribute to blocked pores because the substances act like glue in the soap and on your face. You might try a solution/paste of water and baking soda as well.
Exercise, Diet Etc.
One of the things you can do to improve your complexion and get rid of zits probably won’t cost you anything at all. Start a regular program of exercise. If you can work up a good sweat three or four times a week you can help get the toxins out of your body through the skin and through urination. Combine this with plenty of fresh drinking water and you start cleansing your system. Zits develop because of inside factors as well as outside factors.
Try a little benzoyl peroxide. This substance seems to have an effect on acne and some other skin problems. Benzoyl peroxide is an active ingredient in some over-the-counter products that won’t cost you a whole lot. These items will help cleanse the face, clean out the pores and destroy some of the offending bacteria.
You may think that popping a zit is the best way to get rid of it, but this action may push some of the bacteria and dirt back into the skin. A new zit may develop, starting the problem all over again. You might also spread bacteria and dirt to other pores and create new zits. You are better off using good face-cleaning products, changing your diet to avoid oily, greasy food and sweets, and developing the exercise habit.
If these methods don’t eliminate most or all of your facial zits it may be time to see your doctor or a dermatologist. These medical professionals may be able to prescribe some stronger cleaning products or medicated ointments and creams that will do the job.
