This can reduce some of the junk mails.
Contact Companies that are sending you junk mails
If you are damn serious about preventing the arrival of junk mails, then registering to Mail Preference Service is not enough. Just contact the respective companies that are sending you the junk mails and restrict them for further correspondence.
Trace the name selling companies
In order to trace those companies that sell your name to junk senders you should follow a very simple strategy. Whenever you are subscribing services of a new company, alter some of your name initials every time, for example- If your name is Tom Benedict and you are subscribing the magazine “stardust” (SD), then simply register yourself as Tom SD Benedict. And then restrict the magazine to not sell/rent your name to some other company. Now, if you ever receive a junk mail (from some company) which is addressed to Mr. Tom SD Benedict, then it will be clear to you that from where they got your address and name.
Conclusion
By following these methods you can easily reduce the junk mails. So, please make a favor on environment by keeping the junk mails out of your mailbox and finally out of various landfills.
