But ultimately it all comes to youth but not every lad is a genius, not every man is hard working. The most important thing that matters is grooming of children. If we want a bright future, we have to prepare our children to lead the race to success, give them nice education, and improve their skills. If we commit this, then only we can expect a bright future.
One of the most important factors in child’s mental growth is television. Science is a knife; either uses it to hurt some one or to cut eatables and fulfill your appetite. Television is one of the greatest inventions of science, so it is obvious that television too is a coin with two sides.
It gives children the knowledge of world, current affairs, nature and its consequences, fauna and flora. TV helps children to be up to date with present world. It makes them realize their future. TV helps children in their studies too as many programs are there to give them an edge.
It is not an idiot box if utilized in a good sense. It is not only informative but entertaining too. Comedy serials, reality shows, movies, singing and dancing competitions makes it a whole time entertainer.
Entertainment too makes a valuable contribution in a child’s mental growth. Gratification too is a cardinal part of life without which no one can survive in this world of tension and competition and TV provides a perfect sort of entertainment for the children.
It is a digital world of knowledge. National Geographic and Discovery channels provide all sort of knowledge and information required by a child to blossom. To succeed in today’s scenario, “be all-rounder” is the mantra. Even in actual, a man with knowledge of everything, who know how and why to do hard work, who know how and when to enjoy, who is up to date in all sort of information is ideal o succeed and be the reason for the nation to progress.
Like science, television too has a lot of drawbacks, it too has raised umpteen problems. Till now, we were just giving TV a place in the sun but one should not be a man in the moon in case of blotches of an invention. It is okay to be optimistic but ignoring the dark side of anything is like inviting trouble. On one side, television has proved to be of great importance in grooming of children but on the other side it can prove lethal if not given concern.
First is the impact of television on a child’s eyes. Watching TV constantly causes fatigue and strains the eye sight. In that situation a child cannot study. Still it is a minor problem and parents can make sure that their children watch TV intermittently but main problems are still to be discussed.
There are umpteen ongoing adult channels on television and in absence of parental lock, these channels if watched by children can divert them. So parents should never play negligence in using parental lock on television.
Television cut shorts the outdoor activities of children; they keep on watching TV like they have been glued to it. Imitation of the stunts and acts shown on TV by children is a problem to think about. Although TV shows showing stunts forewarn children not to reproduce them but there seems to be no effect of these warnings.
Children even start smoking because their favorite actor gave such shot in a film or a TV serial. WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) has affected children a lot. In spite of the warnings given by the wrestlers them selves, children endeavor to imitate their actions and stunts done in the ring and these imitations become the reason for accidents.
Parents should be more careful regarding these drawbacks of TV. They should keep a watch on their children. They should teach them right from their childhood not to do such things. Awareness programs should be conducted regarding the same.
Children are the future, your little attention, carefulness can make your child’s and nation’s future.
