What Is PDT Time?

PDT stands of Pacific Daylight Saving Time. It is only used in the summer season at certain places. For the winter there is a separate convention. PDT is also commonly abbreviated as HDT which means Heure Avancée du Pacifique. It is seven hours behind the GMT (Greenwich Mean Time).

PDT timeThere are three nations, in which some states observe PDT/HDT during the summers. They are Canada, Mexico and the United States. In Canada, Yukon and British Columbia (with some exceptions) states use this time. Baja California Norte in the Mexico along with California, Idaho (with some exceptions), Nevada, Oregon and Washington in the United States observe this time.
