How is Linux different from Windows?

There are many differences between linux and windows. Here are a few major differences

1. Linux is more secure than windows due to its open source nature. The bugs in it are fixed at faster pace than windows due to many teams all over the world work at same time unlike windows.

2. Linux is very flexible. It can boot from any partition unlike windows which boots from primary partition only. It can boot from any hard disc in computer.

3. Linux is a free ware while windows is a paid software.

4. Linux offers flexibility as you can get 100s of linux versions to chose from depending on your needs while windows has limited versions.

5. Linux is not for starters due to absence of a proper GUI and more stress on typing commands that are tough for a novice user.
