A new month means fresh things, especially at Netflix. After attracting a massive 5.5/10-star rating on IMDb for its first season, Sex/Life is back for a season two on Netflix.
Sex/Life is inspired by BB Easton’s book, 44 Chapters About 4 Men, created by Stacy Rukeyser as a Netflix original series. Three months after its release in June 2022, the series had already won the hearts of many, triggering Netflix to renew it for a second season.
Despite the immediate renewal, Sex/Life filming for the sophomore season began in Toronto, Canada, in February 2022, ending in May 2022. Once the filming concluded, the series entered into a post-production schedule, making it hard for Sex/Life to launch season two in late 2022 as initially predicted.
What Does Sex/Life Season Two Have in Store for Viewers?
Fans have waited for the second season of Sex/Life, hoping it’d be more captivating than its predecessor. The upcoming instalment has met its audience’s expectations with a crazy continuation of the events of season one.
Sex/Life entirely covers the story of a married-with-two-kids lady, Billie, who can’t stop fantasizing about her steamy sexual past, especially with her most-previous ex-boyfriend before marriage.
Season one saw Cooper (Billie’s husband) constantly accessing his wife’s journal secrets and confessions, a move that threatened the perfect life they already had. The upcoming season will likely dive deeper into Billie’s return to Brad (the ex-boyfriend), implying an affair regardless of her marriage.
Does Sex/Life Season Two Have a Trailer?
Yes! Netflix shared the official trailer for season two of Sex/Life two weeks ago to quench the thirst of its fans ahead of the leading premiere.
The trailer is comprehensive, glancing at Billie’s ‘return’ to Brad, followed by plenty of misfortunes in her relationship with Cooper.
Billie’s best friend seems to support the affair as opposed to the previous season. You can’t afford to miss all this drama.
Who are Behind Sex/Life?
Sex/Life is chiefly produced by Rukeyser, alongside Jessica Borsiczky, Jordan Hawley, and J. Miles as co-chief producers and Scott J. Wallace and Chris Hatcher as producers.
Among the returning characters are Sarah Shahi (Billie Connelly), Mike Vogel (Cooper Connelly), Adam Demos (Brad Simon), Li Jun Li (Francesca), Margaret Odette (Sasha), Lauren Collins (Ms Brenda), and Wallis Day (Gigi).
The first images shared from Sex/Life season two show Cleo Anthony and Darius Homayou as new characters.
When Should Fans Expect Sex/Life Season Two?
Sex/Life season two premieres on March 2nd 2023, as revealed on Netflix’s main Twitter page. Rukeyser has also been actively promoting the project more than ever via Twitter.
